One of our favourite things about the Calathea plants is their amazing foliage in which each leaf looks like beautiful art work. The Beauty Star is in our humble opinion win of the most beautiful examples of such. The perfectly painted on pink paint strips on the dark green leaf with a burgundy underside. Isn’t nature incredible?
These Beauties need low to medium light, but never direct sunlight which can result in brown leaves. Water when topsoil is dry in the winter months and a little more often in the summer. The Calathea is not a drought tolerant plant but is forgiving if you forget to water once in a while. It will be at its happiest in a high humidity.
